Hello there, Chance Family!

On behalf of all of us here at Chance Theater, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support during a challenging time. When we were forced to shut down live performances on our stages in March 2020, and then when our doors finally opened again in the summer of 2021, your support and generous contributions made all the difference. It is because of donors like you that we are able to continue telling compelling stories on both of our stages and celebrate the remarkable achievement of our 25th Season of theater. Your commitment and generosity have played a vital role in sustaining our organization and ensuring that the transformative power of theater remains accessible to our community.

Chance Theater is an inextricable part of your life and your community. Our commitment to you extends beyond producing powerful and intimate theatrical experiences. At the Chance, theater unites you and your neighbors by promoting empathy. Theater emboldens young minds and nurtures the growth of local artists. Theater gives a voice to those who do not have one and inspires all of us to see the world with hope.

However, like many arts organizations, we faced significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, recent changes in California laws, such as AB5, have placed additional financial burdens on small non-profit theaters like ours. We need your help. Every gift makes a difference and your voice will be heard.

As we move forward, we recognize that the road to recovery is ongoing. The impact of the pandemic lingers, and we still face financial challenges and the persistent financial challenges we face, we still require additional assistance to sustain our operations and fulfill our commitment to our community. We ask for your continued support as we navigate the path ahead. Your contributions, no matter the size, make a tremendous difference in sustaining our operations, allowing us to produce quality theater, nurture local artists, and promote empathy and connection within our community.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in helping us overcome these obstacles and ensure the continued impact of live theater in Southern California. Together, we can preserve the power of theater to inspire, connect, and uplift.

We hear you and we thank you.
