On the Fyda-Mar Stage…
James Henry Trotter lives with two ghastly hags — his odious aunts — and he’s a very lonely little boy indeed. One day, something peculiar happens. At the end of the garden, a peach starts to grow and grow … and grow. Inside that peach are seven very unusual insects, all waiting to take James on a magical adventure of enormous proportions. We invite you to crawl inside the giant peach and take a peek. Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book and featuring music by the Tony and Academy Award-winning songwriting team behind Dear Evan Hansen, Dogfight, and La La Land, this family musical takes you on an amazing voyage across the ocean.

The Chance is thrilled to be providing at least one "Relaxed Performance" per show in our TYA Family Series.
Relaxed performances are specifically designed to welcome patrons who will benefit from a less restricted audience environment. Patrons of all abilities are welcome, including but not limited to those with intellectual or learning disabilities, sensory processing conditions or autism. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement within the auditorium, and some minor production changes may be made to reduce the intensity of light, sound and other potentially startling effects. Babes in arms are also welcome to our relaxed performances.

Decades ago, I read Roald Dahl’s amazing James and the Giant Peach. It touched my heart. Later, when the animated movie came out, I relived the story once more. Then I saw James and the Giant Peach at the Chance. Your small-stage production was spectacular. It exceeded my expectations. A smile filled my face from the opening scene until the final word. Thanks for adding your production to my list of fantastic performances.
