Kari is thrilled to bring some holiday cheer to the Chance this season. Past shows at the Chance include: Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Lysistrata Jones, Hairspray, Parade, The Vandal and West Side Story (in partnership with Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts). Kari has also directed musicals and plays for 3D Theatricals, McCoy Rigby, After Hours Theatre Company, Norris Theatre, Cal Rep, Valley Performing Arts Center, Summer Repertory Theatre, The Road Theatre, and South Coast Repertory. Most recently, Kari directed and choreographed You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown for South Coast Repertory’s Outside SCR at the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Many of Kari’s productions have been noted as a Los Angeles Critic’s Choice and she was nominated for the LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award (Best Direction of a Musical) for multiple productions. She was also nominated for the LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Theatrical Excellence in Direction and was named Director of the Year for STAGESCENE LA.
