Neil N. LaBute successfully made the transition to features with his assured debut film In the Company of Men, then went on to write and direct Your Firends and Neighbors, Nurse Betty, and the current release Posession. LaBute’s plays include The Shape of Things, Filthy Talk for Troubled Times, Rounder, and Ravages. He also penned adaptations of Dracula and Woyzeck, which have been produced at venues in the US and abroad. LaBute received a degree in theater and film at BYU, and converted to the Church of Latter Day Saints while a student.
