Artist Profile

Ronald has spent his life immersing himself in the creative world. Ron started playing the trumpet at age 10 and later took up the piano. In college, Ron majored in Music Composition at El Camino College and Cal State Northridge. He had the good fortune of being influenced by two professors that were Beethoven experts. He continues to compose and is currently working on his first album of original music. Ron is also an award-winning writer of local and statewide awards for his journalism and humerous work. In addition, Ron enjoys being an artist and photographer (his work is featured in the Chance Theater lobby). His Imaginary Landscapes (stylized portraits and abstract photos) have been chosen in competitions and shown by the Newport Beach Art Show, the Laguna Beach Museum of Art, and the Huntington Beach Library. In preparation for writing Beethoven: Heaven’s Voice, Ron read 40 biographies on Beethoven. When writing this play, he set out to reveal this fascinating musical visionary to audiences through his music and the incredible dramatic moments of his life.
