Artist Profile
Steve was born near what is now Houston, Texas in 1836 in a rustic log cabin that he helped his father build. His early training in the antebellum south was as a computer engineer, but owing to a paucity of technical positions available at the time, he apprenticed as a chicken plucker and worked nights as a shortorder cook and substitute opera singer in a minimg camp. Sometime after the war, and retired from buffalo hunting, he turned his restless spirit to the theatre.
